All the guards and guard dogs will turn their attention to that animal. The freed animal will then 'liberate' the outpost for you. All you have to do is remain hidden until all the enemies are dead. Doing this twice will allow you to to unlock the Ninja Step skill, which makes you very silent. It is also recommended to scan the entire area with your camera first so you can see the progress of the animal when you free it.

If you go to the highest mountains and take out your camera and zoom in you will see lots of bright lights as you glance around. These are your objectives lighting up.

If you feel like being more hands-on, dive off the edge of the boat and let them come at you. They sometimes grab you which triggers as QTE (where you press buttons to complete actions) and these, if done successfully, will end with you being able to skin the shark.
Finally, try using your camera and scanning the ocean with it. You should be able to 'tag' sharks and then head out in a boat to find them - this will make it so you don't have to hang around out at sea waiting for them to come to you.

• Hunting Strategies

If you are trying to hunt certain animals, particularly when required to kill them just with a Bow and Arrow, there are a few tactics you can try to employ:
The game is very large, meaning there are frequently occasions when animals will 'glitch' or get trapped in an area and not be able to move. If fighting something like the Black Panther, you can try to get it to glitch before shooting it with your arrows - it's a tough fight otherwise.
For more docile prey, try getting them between you and the ocean. Then, fire some shots into the group and they will run away from you, into the sea, and drown themselves.

During a story mission several hours into the game, you will ride in an airplane. When you jump out of the plane, you will have a wingsuit equipped. Instead of going towards the mission objective, go to any of the towers and relic or loot locations and start unlocking them, as there will be no enemies or wildlife on the map.
