Have you been playing The Island Castaway for sometime and want to know how you can make some real progress?
So most players that are on level 4 or higher say that it’s quite impossible to progress unless you spend gems or other items in-game such as the emeralds and pearls.
Although, this may be leaning more towards the true side, there’s a few tips on how you can go forward with this without spending real money in the game.
Castaway Flash Game
Before going any further, you obviously will need more gems and other items to progress. In this guide, we’ll be going over our top tips and cheats on how you can progress further in The Island Castaway, as well as securing the goods (getting more gems, of course!)
But first, lets cover the basics.
Many players have asked how to get certain items in the game such as a vine, metal, food, oranges, etc. Some of the quests require you to spend emeralds or gems which is unfortunate for some players. Ultimately, having more of this premium currency in the game is efficient as well as beneficial in regards to progressing and completing quests.
Tip: From my personal experience, I have found that playing The Island Castaway on PC rather than on Mobile is better. If you want to try it on PC, read this guide on how you can play it on PC.
Just starting: Getting familiar
In the beginning, the game walks you through a tutorial and afterwards pushes you in the direction of the events/quests. Your goal is to complete the given quests. Some of these are easy, some can also be difficult. So there’s 11 farms to build. The fish farm, crab farm, a clay pit, a lumber mill, a liana farm, a quail farm, a boar farm, a ram farm, a stone farm, a stick plant and an eel farm. You also have collections of trophies and statues to piece together. We will cover these later.
It definitely becomes more about in regards to time when you are wanting to progress in The Island Castaway. Eventually you unlock newer levels and with out tips and cheats below, you can definitely keep the progress up by getting and saving your emeralds.
About Gems and other items in-game:
Some of the quests as I mentioned before do require some gems. There’s some ways on how you can get a few of them at first.
- By clicking “Like” on The Island Castaway’s official page on Facebook. You will earn 3 Emeralds by doing this.
- By completing certain tasks in the game (and reaching certain levels)
Other ways to get even more gems
- Watching in-game ads (these come by often)
- Through a certain giveaway (apps like Swagbucks that provide real prizes) We will talk more about this one at the end of the post.
- And last but not least, purchasing them in the game store – but if you’re here, you most likely don’t want to do this.
Castaway Free
Avoid sites that promise free gems or emeralds
If you ever see a promotion for this, I’d advise to stay away from these. Certain hacks require you to enter your username from the game, and just by seeing that, you should know that is impossible and won’t end up working out for you. Nobody can send you gems just by knowing your username. Conclusion: Most of these sites are just a waste of time.
Moving forward
However, with most of our tips and cheats that we provide here on MRG, we always have something to deliver.
Stay tuned for our next post on how you can genuinely get more gems for free in The Island Castaway Lost World. You will be able to claim 1,000 emeralds at the end of the post, so that’s something you can look forward to.

1. The Basics of Castaway Paradise
Just like the ever popular classic games Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, Castaway Paradise follows the player as the resident of a small town filled with animals getting the island into better shape, by repairing its buildings and bridges, and clearing rocks and weeds. The player can do other tasks in the game, such as catching bugs, fish, collecting sea shells, and socializing with the other villagers. Players are also able to grow their own flowers and fruit trees, farm their own crops, decorate the island and their home, and decide what their character wears. In addition, villagers will set quests for the player, and there is roster of tasks to do that changes several times a day, through which the player can gain experience points. Like Animal Crossing there are special events and items for sale on specific days, such as holidays. Despite the tropical island theme, Castaway Paradise was around before the upcoming newest New Horizons entry in the Animal Crossing franchise. Follow our guide below to beautify your town and succeed in this sandbox life sim!2. Don’t Sell Your Fruit, Plant It
While roaming about town you’ll occasionally find fruit laying around on the ground in Castaway Paradise. It can be sold to Polly or Samir for a quick bit of cash, but don’t be in a rush to get rid of that delicious apple or banana. Plant it instead. Planted fruit eventually grows into trees, which keep on supplying fruit as long as you water them (or when it rains). With time and patience, you’ll have a real cash crop on your hands. Sweet right?3. Play Everyday
Unlike Harvest Moon, and more like Animal Crossing, Castaway Paradise continues to advance even when you are not playing. Life on your island continues whether you are there or not. You receive bonuses for checking in on Castaway Paradise every day. You might receive money, or even the aforementioned plantable fruit.4. Watch Your Stamina
More like Harvest Moon than Animal Crossing, in Castaway Paradise you have a stamina meter that you need to keep watch of. That’s why it is important to note how many times you need to use a tool before a task is completed. Tasks like watering trees and flowers, breaking rocks, and digging up stumps require more than one action. Take note how many times you need to use the relevant tool before the task is done. Using tools takes up stamina, which will automatically regenerate over time.5. Find Your Friends
Can’t find where your friends on the island are? Can’t find the shop? Tap or hit the magnifying glass icon in the lower-left corner of the screen. You’ll get a bird’s eye view of the island as well as nearby shops and villagers that have issued quests. It’s a useful tool to keep track of active quests, while also letting you admire the beauty of your growing island.6. It’s a Shakedown
One of Animal Crossing’s most famous elements is here in Castaway Paradise. Want free stuff? Shake a tree! Shaking a tree containing ripe fruit will gift you with a piece of that fruit, which you can plant or sell. Don’t forget to shake down pine trees as well. Some villagers issue quests that require you to grow pine trees, which you can’t do without a pine cone.Final Word
